The wheels on the bike go 'round and 'round...

I finally got around to trying a spinning class today. My best friend S has been raving about it for a long time and often gets up early on Sunday mornings to go so I figured it would be worth a try. Whoa! Definitely worth it. It was hard, but in that "that class just kicked my butt" kinda of way that makes every gruelling minute so bad that its good.

Happy to report that my thighs are sore, I was able to sweat up a storm and I will be going back next week for more!

Yay to finding a new activity to add to my routine. Oh and thanks S for inspiring me :)

So tell me, what exercise/activity are you currently super stoked about?

  1. Spinning kicked my ass when I took it, and I gotta get back into it. You should come and give Spynga a try with me: 25 minutes of spinning, and 25 minutes of power yoga. It's a killer workout/stretch.

  4. I love spin. It is a crazy workout, in that this hurts yet feels so good kinda way. And you'll get sore in that same "this hurts yet feels so good" kinda way tomorrow, but it will be worth it!

  5. I'm LOVING spinning, lifting weights and doing yoga right now.

I still enjoy my runs too, though. No matter how hard a class is nothing seems to do it for me like a good, hard run!

  6. Haven't tried spinning but maybe one day...I do love the "insanity" workout DVDs right now. I am definitely a "workout from home" kinda girl :)

  7. Spinning hurts my lady parts. They need to get extra wide gel seats for me to show back up! :) I love (love as in hate) to climb the step mill. It is the best workout. Just a slow steady pace will kick your asssss!!!!

  8. I have never "spun", but is sounds like it would be amazing. I am not a class/joiner kinda person...mostly due to my inherent laziness.

Way to get out and try new things...inspiring!
