A makeover and some food porn

As you may have noticed H,H&S has under gone yet another makeover. What can I say, I am fickle like that. I am hoping you all dig the new look as much as I do. The tabs up top are on my "things to do" list so, as always, stay tuned for more Samantha-stuff in the days to come!

I mentioned last night that I had a craving for some couscous salad. Well folks, here it is:

The fresh veggies

Ready for the salad

All mixed up with the couscous

And voila! Dinner is served!

Couscous Salad

1 diced red, yellow and green pepper
3 diced green onions
1 cup cherry tomatoes
2 tbsp chopped parsley
3/4 cup pre-shredded carrots
1 box Casbah lemon spinach couscous

Cook coucous according to directions
Chops all vegetables to preferred size
Mix prepared couscous with vegetables
Layer on a bed of baby spinach, drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice and serve

A quick, easy and healthy summertime meal....bon appetit!

Off for a me, myself and I night with a few chick flicks and some tasty fresh fruit to snack on. Hope you're having a great weekend so far!

So tell me, what do you like to do when you have the place to yourself? Have you seen any good movies lately?

  1. Love the remodel - Great to have goals/races at the top! (I might have to snag your idea). :)

Also - good couscous recipe! (But I have to say quinoa won my heart over... all that protein!)

    Keep rockin lady!

  2. Like the new layout! The other layout was fun, but this one says real blog.

Funny that you asked about movies and what to do when you are home alone. I blogged about trying to find Julie & Julia On Demand tonight, to no avail. So I`ve been in our cool basement tonight watching Season 1 of Mad Men.

  4. When I have the place to myself, I usually break out the comfy clothes, maybe some comfort food, and do some online shopping.
I recently saw Toy Story 3 and its the cutest. Go, even if you don't have any little kids to take with you!
