A Mini Cuba Vacation Update

Hi everyone! It feels like its been forever since I last blogged. Its funny how a week doing you regular routine and a week away seem so completely different. What's even funnier is that I expected the week on vacation to be the one that flew by but it didn't. Cool huh?

I have actually been back since Friday evening but with the exception of a few emails and reading a couple of my favorite blogs I stayed pretty much disconnected. I missed The Boyfriend in a big bad way while I was gone so it was nice to have lots of alone time together!

In case you were eagerly awaiting my return and the obligatory vacation photos that I promised I would share, here are a few:

Overall the vacation was really good. There were a few mishaps at the hotel and I dealt with a few health related issues while I was away but I still got to spend a relaxing week in the sun with good friends which is what really matters in the big picture right?

What I do know for sure is that while I like going on vacation there is no place like home (even if it is snowing in April!!)

So tell me, what's your favorite part of vacation? What's your least favorite? Mine is waiting around at the airport before the flight and waiting to check in

  1. Airports can definitely be a huge drag. I love being able to disconnect from life while on vacation, and it always takes me a few days to get back into my normal routine. Looks like you had amazing weather!

  3. Cute Pics! Did you get food poisoning?
Favorite part of vacation is definitely excursions. I'm not a relaxer at all, so I love getting out and seeing stuff.
Least favorite - the day before you go home. It's a bummer to know you're leaving but once I get home I'm glad to be there.

  5. So funny, my favorite part about vacation is from when we walk into the airport til we board! But then once we get where we're going, I get a new favorite part while we're there ;) My least favorite part is packing!

  6. Welcome back! Beautiful pictures.

My favorite part of the vacation is the planning, packing, & creating an itinerary. (I'm a freak, I know!). But, I love that you still have the anticipation of the entire trip ahead of you.

  7. My least favorite part of a vacation is "getting there". The whole airport thing just keeps getting worse and worse. I also hate leaving Sneakers behind. But my favorite part is "being there"! Once I'm at my destination, I forgot all the "getting there" parts I hate and I completely relax and enjoy myself. (Driving vacations are fine, but I live in central Texas and it's a looooong drive to get anywhere.)

  10. Cuba looks beautiful! I'm glad you had a good vacation!

I really hate flying - I think it's the close proximity to strangers. Airports I don't mind, unless there is a huge delay!

  12. My favorite part of vacation is the 2nd or 3rd day when you are completely in your element. The worst part is the last day. I get all sentimental! :(
